Dr. Omboye Pax-Harry (MBBS, MRCOG)

Dr. Omboye had his Secondary School education at Kings College Lagos from 1971 – 1975 and his Advanced level education at the Federal School of Arts & Science in Lagos and the Federal Government College Port Harcourt.

He studied at the University of Benin and obtained his bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree (MBBS) in 1982.

After his National Youth Service (NYSC) at the Nigerian Air force Medical Centre in Onikan Lagos, He proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) for post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology where he left as a Senior Registrar in 1990.

He was elected President of the Association of Resident Doctors whilst at UPTH. He completed his training in the United Kingdom in 1990 and attained the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1993.

Also, He was trained and qualified as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom from 2001 – 2003 and practiced in the United Kingdom till returning to Nigeria in 2007.

He was appointed a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Rivers State from 2007 – 2009. The body set up to look into the genesis of restiveness and come up with solutions to quell the agitations.

He was also appointed Chairman of the Rivers State Hospitals Management Board from 2012 – 2015. He has been active in Politics especially in Rivers State.
