About SOGP
The School of Government and Politics (SOGP), was born out of the need to prepare the next generation for governance, to develop leadership capacity as a solution to leadership crisis in Nigeria, and enlighten the electorate to demand accountability from our leaders.
As nation changers, reformers, and believers, our goal therefore is to prepare future influencers with Christian values. Values of honesty, faithfulness, loyalty, patriotism, truthfulness, accountability, prudence and hard work which have been eroded from the society but must be restored for the next generation. These values must be imbibed in our leaders in order to achieve the quality of governance that brings development in a nation.
The School of Government and Politics therefore serves as a bridge that closes the gaps by enlightening, preparing, building capacities, capabilities and understanding of those in leadership, or intending to go into politics in Nigeria, as well as the electorate.

It has become necessary to evolve a development and governance paradigm in Nigeria and Africa undergirded by genuine servant leadership in the Executive, legislative and judicial arms of government that is imbued with a sense of mission, engaging the machinery of Government to achieve the cardinal objective of forging the institutional and inter sectoral linkages that facilitate the design and delivery of public policies that engender accelerated, inclusive and integrated economic development on a sustainable basis.
