Gloria Ekpo

Gloria Ekpo is a seasoned Development Practitioner and Result-driven Project Management and Training Consultant with a wide range of transferable skills demonstrated over the course of a progressive 20+ year career.

Gloria particularly has extensive experience in Agricultural Rural Economy, Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services, Gender-based Empowerment Interventions, Government Relations, Research and Analysis, Policy Formulation and Implementation, Regional and International Development, and Education. She is also a PRINCE2 certified Project Manager.

Gloria possesses extensive working knowledge and experience in Local Economic Development (LED), Advocacy, Stakeholder Management, Administration and Gender Transformation across Public and Private sectors in states across West and East Africa.

She is very skilful at Budget Development and Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects, as well as versed in developing and maintaining effective partnerships with governmental/local authorities, NGOs and international funding agencies.

She holds a B.A.(Education) and Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Education, both from the University of Calabar, Nigeria; as well as M.Ed. in Adult Education from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

In addition, she has attended work-based certified courses on Women Entrepreneurship Promotion, Food Systems and Increasing Development Impact in Research, among others. She is also an Alumnus of Australian Awards Fellowship for Africa, Maastricht Business School (MSM), Netherlands.

Presently, Gloria Ekpo is responsible for coordinating delivery of the activities of the Australia Awards African Women in Leadership Network, Nigeria (AWILN); reviews learning materials for Three Mountains Learning Advisors Development Programme in Kigali, Rwanda; and provides technical advisory services for the Global Environmental Facility (GEF)/Small Grants Programme (SGP) for Nigeria.

She is also presently the Volunteer Facilitator for the Agriculture and Food Security Policy Commission (AFSPC) for the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), and Managing Partner at Sustainable Economica Advisory & Research Ltd.
